Marc Elman has been managing the firm with dynamism and passion for over 10 years. Challenging both himself and others, his leadership has carried the firm into the major leagues of accounting and accounting services for local, national and international SMEs.
Marc began his 28-year career specializing in taxation. He has developed a substantial portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors, including real estate, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, media, and professional services. He also consults with high net worth families in tax and financial planning. Marc is an attentive and proactive advisor who takes pride in finding practical solutions to the financial and organizational challenges of his clients. He works with them in the development of effective business strategies that meet corporate and shareholder objectives while adding overall value to the enterprise. He also provides services in business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and divestitures.
Marc joined the firm in 1982 upon completion of his studies in accounting. He obtained his CA designation in 1985 and became a partner in 1988 after successfully leading the tax services division for several years. He earned the title of Chartered Business Valuator in 1992 and has contributed to developing this branch of the firm. With customer satisfaction as his ultimate goal, Marc achieves this by cultivating a working environment that encourages the highest level of professional development for all employees.
He has also developed an expertise in shareholder and partner compensation, and has both spoken and consulted extensively on the topic. Characteristic of his energy and strength, he completed an Iron Man triathlon in 13 hours and has successfully participated in several marathons. He acts as an executive and board member to community and charitable organizations, including schools and youth camps.
